Elite Paradise

There were a few positives and a lot of negatives to our stay. A positive is the work that Edgewater Condominiums are doing to the outside of the building, the pool area, and other facilities. As for the condo itself. The paint throughout the condo is flaking, peeling and just looks bad. The plaster on the main bath ceiling is falling and just hanging there. The rug in the master bedroom is old and the corner in front of the door is curled up 2-3 inches and I kept tripping on it. The curtains in the master are disgusting. They are old, filthy, ripped, and faded. They need replaced. The shower in the master is partially clogged so you're standing in 2 inches of water when showering. The rug in the living room is also old and worn. The corner of the rug where everyone walks is worn away and the binding is still there creating a loop for you to catch your toes on. I had to keep folding the binding under the rug. The drop ceiling lighting in the kitchen is broken and dirty. Not the most appetizing place to prepare food. The front door side panel doesn't have a curtain so we hung a sheet over it to keep people from seeing in. If you rent this unit based on the pictures online, you will be greatly disappointed the moment you walk in the front door. Now for the positives. The views from the balcony are spectacular. The water, beach, pools and palm trees are beautiful. It is a great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning, read a book and just relax. The location of Edgewater is close to shopping, restaurants, and other businesses. The condo was comfortable in the size of it. The beds seem to have been updated and are comfortable. The kitchen was fully stoked with appliances. The flooring was new. The owner only needs to put a little work into this unit and it would be a great place to stay.

I can’t express enough how beautiful the view from the balcony was...gorgeous. As for the actual condo: kitchen was updated but that was about it. The rest of the condo needs LOTS of TLC. Too much to write here. As for the beach: love that it’s private but the cost of chair and umbrella to rent was extremely high. It should be included in the price of the rental, which is how most of them along Miramar are. We stay in Miramar every year and this was the first time we would have had to rent. We went and bought our own chairs at a local surf shop... was way cheaper to do this...
Staff was super nice and helpful upon arrival. Not sure if we will stay in Edgewater again but it absolutely served it’s purpose. We totally enjoyed our vacation.

Before booking here, I saw where bad reviewers were labeled liars wish I’d heeded those reviewers' posts.I’ve never been treated so unprofessionally by any company when issues arose as this one.They’ve accused us of damage we DIDNT do (slinging hair dye on a toilet & wall in a bathroom-literally no one in our family dyes their hair)& threw insults in emails instead of working w/us professionally.On arrival, we found the parking garage clearance is only 6” tall.If you drive a large suv, there’s only a few parking spaces.Helpful to know beforehand.This unit is conveniently next to the garbage chute.Unfortunately you also get to hear trash rattling down the wall every time someone uses it.The updated flooring in our unit was fine,but they left all the extra tiles stacked in our master closet,leaving no room to put any of our luggage.We were leery of sitting at the balcony table & chairs bc they looked rusted & filthy.The fridge froze all of our produce,& while the condo’s binder warned of overloading the fridge,we only had about 10 items in was a waste of money bc we couldn’t eat half of what we bought.We were also unaware that this complex doesn’t allow personal canopy tents on the beach.If you bring your own chairs & umbrella,you have to set up BEHIND those paying the $200 weekly beach chair fee.This would’ve been helpful information to list on the description & condo info.Check out is 10am.The door code stopped working before 9am.Thankfully we realized it when someone was still inside.Bring your own washcloths.They only supply two black ones for makeup removal per bathroom+one cheap makeup wipe.If you use their white washcloths to remove makeup they’ll charge you another $150 after checkout to replace no way are these linens worth that much.I don’t care that we got charged more, I just want to save someone else the trouble of staying here & dealing w/this unprofessionalism. What a wonderful condo and vacation.

The unit was clean and pretty. We loved the location and the manager was so attentive to our needs. Would rent again and again.

Great location and condo.Condo is right on the beach and close to all the restaurants and attractions.

We stayed in our unit for a full week, and loved the grounds, two pools, a baby pool for the kids and easy access to a pristine beach. We would stay in this complex again. The only downside was the unit wasn't as clean as we would have liked, the furniture needed dusted and the microwave didn't work, when we called to report that, maintenance said they would come out, but never did. Not that it was a deal breaker but having to use the oven for all meals did take some time. Make sure you bring essentials like trash bags, laundry detergent, and dish soap, dishwasher packets as the items they leave you don't go far.

The property was in a great location. The grounds and pool were well kept and maintained. It was a short walk to the pool and beach. The beach umbrella team was helpful and friendly. The view from our condo was gorgeous. The condo itself needs a lot of TLC. The bedroom carpets were worn and dirty. The trim and doors need painted. The patio had dirt on the floor and most of the plants were dead in the planter. I would stay in this condo again if these minors issues were fixed/updated. We also talked to others in the complex and their condos were well kept so would probably try another unit.

We did a triple mom/daughter trip. (Three moms and teenager daughters) and this unit was perfect. Kitchen was great for big breakfast each morning and homemade evening pizzas. short walk to pool and beach. We received prompt responses for management re: a parking tag question and an A/C question. The app is awesome and convenient.

Location was beautiful. Condo was nice overall. Some of the dining chairs are wobbly, some of the tile is cracked, and there are other minor issues with the condition. However, the condo is in generally good condition. The property is wonderful! The location can't be beat! Maintenance and cleaning are lacking, though. Lightbulbs needed to be replaced, the carpet looked as if it had not been vacuumed (and there was no vacuum in the unit), the master bedroom was missing a top bed sheet, and there were no pillow cases (that I saw) for the extra pillows. Management responded to our need for lightbulbs, a vacuum, sheets, and pillow cases right away. The beach is beautiful. The pools are beautiful and clean. The hot tub is nice.

We had a blast, and our condo was perfect, & and we Had a great view of the ocean! Had a issue with the gate pass but they fixed it ASAP! We will stay again there.

We really enjoyed our stay in Destin. The weather was great, the beaches were beautiful and the food in the area was fantastic. Our condo was very comfortable with a great view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and modern. The view was beautiful and offers a very short walk to beach. The upper heated pool was a very nice surprise! The master bed was VERY comfortable! We enjoyed this condo, location was fantastic in the middle of Destin and the complex was very well kept, clean and inviting! We will definitely come back!

Edgewater was a very nice place to stay with the kids. Our condo however needs a little TLC. When we first got there there were no light bulbs in the boys room so they could not see anything. Both of the closet door were off track. TV in the living room did not work. Put a request in for maintenance and was fixed the next day. The door of the lazy susan in the kitchen was broke and a tile from the kitchen ceiling fell down as well. It was small things that needed repair. I suggest that they have maintenance go in and do a review of the condo every few months.

Upon arrival, the instructions seemed clear to enter the gated grounds, enter a code, tell the voice on a speaker our name and room, and we would be let in. It was never that easy. Security asked yes each day for a key card, and sent us to the front desk, who told us we didn't need one. We were told to call the rental company from the condo phone, which was broken. Small Appliances were also broken.the condo was beautiful, but the professionalism of the site staff was left to be desired.
